Looking beyond research co-production: Exploring the challenges of evidence use

12 October 2023 13:00–14:30

Zoom

A new study by IDS and OTT claims the fields concerned with the theories and practice of knowledge translation are highly fragmented, too focused on the global North and fail to engage adequately with Southern perspectives on structural power, equity and evidence use. It promotes the central importance of research co-production but also suggests that we need renewed efforts to understand the use of evidence in diverse settings.

At this event we will explore opportunities to address gaps in the literature on how evidence shapes behaviours, policy and practice and the mechanisms that may enhance these processes.

If you are passionate about pioneering new understandings of how to mobilise research for development and closing the gap between scholarship and practice on getting evidence into use, please join us.
