State-citizen dynamics of trust through Covid-19

12 October 2020 12:00–13:30

Governments globally have faced unprecedented challenges in responding to Covid-19. While they have managed to get some things right, delayed responses, insufficient test, track and trace programmes, contradictory messages, disinformation, and a sense of the economy being prioritised over public health, are some factors that may contribute to waning public confidence.

In this webinar, researchers from Brazil, China, Pakistan and the UK, will discuss the situation in these countries, and look at how the process of decision-making around public health has impacted state-citizen relations and institutional trust and what should be the priorities going forward.
