Free online learning on social protection responses to Covid-19

Published on 10 November 2020

The social and economic impact of Covid-19 has led to an unprecedented need for effective social protection measures across the globe. In June 2020, the Centre for Social Protection at IDS, in collaboration with Irish Aid, launched a free, online course that provides a basic introduction to social protection: Social Protection: A Primer.

This course has now been updated to include a section specifically focused on social protection responses to the Covid-19 pandemic. The course is designed for policymakers, practitioners, researchers, project managers and anyone who has an interest in social protection and wishes to build their knowledge of the field and its implementation around the world.
