IDS has launched a new organisational training package for its Shaping Policy with Evidence short course running from April to May 2023. Institutions and programmes seeking to enhance their production and use of evidence can now apply for a follow up workshop to the popular live online course tailored to their learning needs.
This package is based on IDS’ highly acclaimed bespoke facilitated learning events for organisational effectiveness, comes at no extra cost and is available to group bookings of three places or more.

“We are acutely aware of the value of tailored training that can address the specific challenges faced by organisations and programmes seeking to transform evidence for impact. At IDS we have extensive experience of offering these kinds of learning partnerships. For the first time we can offer this experience to researchers, knowledge mobilisers and programme managers who attend our online course and want to embed the learning in their own institutions.”
Pilot phase
During its pilot phase this new organisational training package is available at no extra cost and short course group bookings are already entitled to a discount of 10% to 30% based on organisational status and size.
The IDS facilitators will familiarise themselves with the trainees’ learning needs during the online course and then work with them to coproduce a workshop plan to be delivered with a wider group of their colleagues on an agreed date.
The tailored follow up workshop can focus on the application of the tools covered in the online course to a specific policy context, research area and geography. Or it can be designed to cascade the learning on shaping policy with evidence to a larger internal group.
Organisational learners who wish to enjoy the full six-week online course, followed by an IDS-led tailored workshop for their project or institution, need to get in touch prior to completing their short course application [email protected].
