Impact Evaluation for the UNICEF SCT Project in Oromia and SNNPR

In support of the PSNP4, UNICEF is implementing the Social Cash Transfer (SCT) program in Oromia and SNNP Regions of Ethiopia to support and enhance some of the more innovative components of the PSNP4, including inter-sectoral components that link beneficiary households to health and nutrition services. The SCT programme will be conducted in two woredas in each region.

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) is collaborating with the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) to conduct an impact evaluation from 2015-2018. This evaluation study will measure the impact of the SCT project on household food security, child nutrition and related outcomes and will also measure the quality of implementation of the project. The evaluation includes a quantitative component based on a baseline,midline and endline household survey, led by IFPRI, and a qualitative component, led by IDS.
