This collaboration between IDS, the National Council for People with Disabilities and the Human Sciences Research Council (in South Africa) focuses on the experiences of South Africans with disabilities during Covid-19, particularly in relation to the different levels of lockdown. The research specifically looked at the socio-economic, wellbeing and human rights related experiences. Data was collected through an online survey with nearly 2,000 respondents – possibly making this one of the largest datasets on people with disabilities’ Covid-19 experiences in the world.
